Testing with ‘alrngdiag’ on Linux, freeBSD, macOS and Windows.

This section demonstrates how to run AlphaRNG general diagnostics and test the quality of random bytes generated by the device.

On Linux and freeBSD, make sure the alrngdiag utility is successfully built with make. Plug the AlphaRNG device in one of the USB ports available.

For alrngdiag, run the following command:

alrngdiag

alrngdiag will discover all the AlphaRNG devices connected to the system, run general diagnostics, and execute APT, RCT and other tests.
